Solution Architect - Digital Twin & Smart Building Integration

About the Role

We are seeking a Solution Architect to lead the technical design of a Digital Twin platform built on Unreal Engine. This role involves crafting the comprehensive technical framework integrating the 3D visualization, middleware, data management, and connectivity with the client’s existing building systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, and maintainability beyond project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Design the complete solution architecture encompassing 3D runtime environments, middleware layers, data pipelines, storage solutions, API integrations, and user-facing presentation components.
• Devise integration strategies for Building Management Systems (BMS), CCTV, Access Control Systems (ACS), Parking systems, and MIM platforms, including protocol selection and data contract definition.
• Develop high-level and low-level design documents, sequence diagrams, deployment topologies, and specify non-functional requirements such as latency, concurrency, and system availability.
• Lead technical governance activities including design reviews, maintaining coding and asset standards, and managing the technical risk register.
• Determine infrastructure requirements, including GPU/render servers, network capabilities, and storage, validating these against expected system loads.
• Act as the principal technical expert in client workshops and vendor design discussions.

Candidate Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in software or systems architecture with proven, hands-on delivery of projects.
• Proven ownership of architecture for real-time 3D platforms, IoT, SCADA, or building automation systems.
• Expertise in integration technologies such as REST, MQTT, message brokers, event streaming, and handling time-series data.
• Comprehensive knowledge of OT/IT security architectures, including network segmentation, identity management, and data encryption.
• Strong skills in creating detailed documentation and excellent communication abilities for client interaction.

Desirable Skills

• Familiarity with Unreal Engine architecture, Pixel Streaming techniques, and rendering performance optimization.
• Experience with BIM/IFC data standards, Autodesk software platforms, or cloud Digital Twin services on Azure or AWS.
• Possession of architecture certifications like TOGAF or equivalent.

Location and Engagement Details

• This full-time role requires the candidate to work onsite in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, both at InfoLabs Global’s premises and client sites as needed.
• The position is contract/project-based for the duration of the Digital Twin initiative, with potential extensions depending on future projects.
• Applicants must currently reside in the UAE with valid residence visas; no relocation sponsorship will be provided.
