About the Role
Join a dynamic Builders Providers branch in Cork City as a Stock and Operations Controller. This role requires a strong focus on maintaining stock accuracy, overseeing logistical operations, and supporting administrative functions to ensure seamless branch workflows and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain precise inventory records through cycle counts and investigate stock discrepancies.
- Organize stock replenishment to sustain adequate inventory levels.
- Coordinate and schedule customer deliveries, including planning efficient daily routes for vehicles and communicating effectively with drivers.
- Handle administrative tasks such as processing delivery documents, purchase orders, and stock adjustments with accuracy.
- Manage supplier returns by facilitating procedures, securing necessary credits, and resolving any vendor-related issues swiftly.
- Conduct checks on incoming deliveries and outgoing vehicle loads while assisting in branch security measures.
Required Experience and Skills
- Previous experience in stock management, transport coordination, logistics, or warehouse administration.
- Familiarity with the builders providers sector, builders merchant industry, or hardware supply chain is advantageous.
- Competence in Microsoft Office applications and ERP or warehouse management systems.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, numerical, and multitasking capabilities, adaptable to a fast-moving work environment.
- A forklift license is beneficial but not compulsory.
