Role Overview
The Store Keeper is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and issuance of materials and supplies in a timely and organized manner.
Key Duties
- Handle and verify incoming shipments of materials and supplies to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Store items correctly to avoid damage or loss through proper organization and handling.
- Distribute materials as per approved requisitions and maintain comprehensive inventory logs reflecting stock inflow and outflow.
- Carry out routine stocktaking and reconcile any discrepancies between physical inventory and records.
- Keep track of inventory levels to identify shortages or surplus and alert relevant departments accordingly.
- Ensure clear labeling and systematic arrangement of all stored materials for efficient access.
- Maintain the store's cleanliness, safety standards, and overall security.
- Generate periodic inventory and stock reports to provide management with updated status information.
- Collaborate with procurement and other teams to coordinate the replenishment of stock on schedule.
- Comply with company guidelines, safety protocols, and inventory management procedures to maintain operational integrity.
