We deliver projects throughout New Zealand and support the Group's expansion in the Asia-Pacific and North Asia region by applying digital engineering techniques to design and documentation. Our Structural engineering team fosters a culture of knowledge sharing and mentorship, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions collaboratively.
Role Overview
We seek a Structural Engineer to be part of our dynamic Auckland-based Built Environment team. In this role, you will oversee the design, preparation of documentation, and successful completion of diverse projects nationwide. You will build strong working relationships with clients, architects, and industry partners. Your responsibilities will include ensuring technical excellence in your projects and reviewing colleagues' work for accuracy. Mentoring and guiding junior team members is also a key component of this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Function as a Project Engineer on projects of varied sizes while leading a small engineering and technician team.
- Establish and agree upon the design philosophy and fundamental approaches.
- Review deliverables at critical project milestones and provide constructive feedback.
- Apply expertise in concept design, detailed design, construction methods, procurement strategies, risk evaluation, and claim assessments.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have proven experience across a variety of building projects and preferably hold chartered engineer status. Deep knowledge of structural behavior combined with the ability to manage design and construction phases will be essential. This role offers growth opportunities towards leadership positions within our Buildings team.
