Role Overview
The Supplier Quality Manager position is a part-time role based in Dubai, combining on-site presence at ministry locations and opportunities for remote work where suitable. This role focuses on assessing and supervising suppliers to verify adherence to the Ministry of Sports' standards concerning quality, regulatory compliance, and ethics.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute supplier audits to ensure compliance with relevant standards and agreements.
- Manage corrective and preventive actions arising from audits or quality issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align supplier performance with the operational needs of sports facilities and programs.
- Maintain comprehensive supplier quality documentation and records.
- Analyze supplier performance metrics to identify risks and improvement areas.
- Support initiatives aimed at continuous quality enhancement.
- Prepare and deliver clear reports and recommendations for management.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Experience and proficiency in supplier evaluation and quality management processes.
- Skilled in conducting supplier and quality audits to verify compliance with contractual and regulatory demands.
- Strong background in quality management including procedure development, KPI monitoring, and continuous improvement practices.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, supply chain, or a related discipline preferred.
- Professional certifications in quality or auditing are advantageous.
- Capability to analyze data effectively, manage multiple stakeholders, and communicate proficiently in English; knowledge of Arabic is beneficial.
- Prior experience in public sector, sports facility environments, or regulated sectors is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a hybrid work setting, balancing independent task management with collaborative teamwork.
