Testing & Commissioning Coordinator

Role Overview

Larsen & Toubro is hiring a Testing & Commissioning Coordinator for work in Qatar. The position focuses on substation testing and commissioning activities, with responsibility for planning, coordinating, and driving execution across multiple project teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the main point of contact for substation testing and commissioning activities.
• Plan the testing and commissioning schedule and ensure it is carried out effectively.
• Work with subcontractors to arrange team deployment and mobilization.
• Coordinate with the design team on drawings, documents, and scheme changes.
• Interface with erection, SCS, MEP, civil, and other site teams to align site activities.
• Liaise with the client and consultant throughout the project.
• Prepare test formats and follow through on approvals.
• Compile and submit all required documents, including test protocols and RMD, for energization approval.
• Support client inspections and resolve site issues with multiple OEMs as needed.
• Handle brownfield execution scenarios such as remote end work, upgrade work, and outage coordination.

Requirements

• Must hold a Kahramaa Protection and Substation Permit Holder certification.
• Prior Kahramaa project experience is mandatory.
• Strong working knowledge of schemes, protection systems, and SCS systems.
• Familiarity with substation equipment testing is required.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with several internal and external teams.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with brownfield projects, remote end work, upgrades, and outage planning is needed.

Additional Information

This role is based in Qatar and involves close coordination across project execution, design, client, consultant, and OEM stakeholders for substation T&C works.
