Job Overview
This role entails working remotely on a full-time contract basis to develop and maintain scalable, modern web applications for a client in the mining industry. Engagement is through freelance setups such as Limited Company, Umbrella, or Sole Trader.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and sustain responsive web applications leveraging current front-end and back-end technologies.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to capture requirements and deliver solutions focused on user experience.
- Enhance web performance, scalability, and security continuously.
- Integrate APIs and external services as necessary to extend functionality.
- Identify and resolve bugs, and improve existing platforms.
- Produce clean, maintainable, and well-documented code abiding by industry best practices.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Strong command of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
- Experience with back-end technologies including Node.js, Python, PHP, or similar.
- Expertise in RESTful API development and integration.
- Hands-on experience with version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of website performance optimization techniques and web security fundamentals.
Desirable Attributes
- Experience working on digital platforms within the industrial or mining sectors.
- Familiarity with cloud service platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Exposure to content management systems like WordPress or Drupal.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline tools.
