About the Internship
This internship provides an opportunity to support the Director of Photography during commercial shoots, working directly with camera and lighting equipment to create engaging visual content. You will participate in various stages of video production, including setup, execution, and post-shoot organization, gaining hands-on experience in professional filmmaking in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Director of Photography with filming tasks and camera operations on set.
- Set up and dismantle all necessary camera, lighting, and grip gear before and after shoots.
- Manage and handle various accessories, including lenses, batteries, memory cards, tripods, and gimbals.
- Aid in framing shots and operate camera movements during filming sessions.
- Adapt to using both professional camera systems (Sony A7S III, FX3, FX6) and smartphones for diverse content formats.
- Maintain and organize all equipment meticulously to ensure readiness for shooting.
- Backup and safely store footage following each shoot session.
- Capture behind-the-scenes footage as required to complement production materials.
- Support the production team during shoots conducted indoors and outdoors.
- Safely load, unload, and arrange equipment such as light stands, reflectors, C-stands, and grip instruments.
Requirements
- Strong enthusiasm and passion for cinematography and filmmaking craft.
- Basic knowledge of camera settings including ISO, aperture, shutter speed, and white balance.
- Familiarity with Sony camera arrays such as A7S III, FX3, and FX6 models.
- Fundamental understanding of lighting techniques and image composition.
- Experience with camera support tools like tripods, monopods, and stabilization gimbals.
- Basic skills in Adobe Premiere Pro editing software are advantageous.
- Clear communication abilities and eagerness to learn continuously.
- Able to work extended hours and travel for outdoor shoots when necessary.
- Willingness to work on weekends if required.
- Dependable, punctual, and accountable for assigned tasks and responsibilities.
- Positive and collaborative team player attitude.
- Professionalism and consistency in performing duties.
Who Can Apply
Applicants must be residents of Mumbai, available for a full-time internship onsite, and able to commit to the entire 3-month period starting between July 24, 2026, and August 28, 2026. Ideal candidates will possess relevant skills and a genuine interest in cinematography.
Compensation and Perks
The internship offers a monthly stipend ranging from 10,000 to 15,000 INR. Additional perks include a certificate upon completion, flexible working hours, a casual dress code, and complimentary snacks and beverages.
