About the internship
This internship is for a Telugu content creator who will help produce short, engaging news updates for a hyperlocal audience. The role focuses on turning current affairs into clear, quick-to-consume video content designed for social media.
What you will do
- Track current affairs and trending topics relevant to Telugu viewers.
- Write crisp scripts of roughly 30 to 45 seconds based on news and ongoing events.
- Present and record news reels in Telugu in a clear, informative, and engaging way.
- Make sure the content is accurate, visually appealing, and suitable for social media engagement.
- Keep up with the latest news developments so the content stays timely and relevant.
Who can apply
This opportunity is open to candidates who can work full time from the office, can begin between 9 Jul 2026 and 13 Aug 2026, and can commit to a 6-month internship. Applicants should have relevant skills and a genuine interest in the work. Women looking to start or restart their careers are also welcome to apply.
Preferred background
Candidates with strong Telugu proficiency and an academic background in Mass Communication, Journalism, or a related field are preferred. However, Telugu speakers who want to build a career in news reporting and content creation are also encouraged to apply, regardless of their educational background.
Additional requirements
- Strong research ability and the skill to simplify complex subjects into easy-to-understand stories.
- Excellent Telugu speaking and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain major news stories in under one minute.
Stipend
The internship offers a monthly stipend of INR 8,000 to 10,000.
