About the Internship
InfinityX Innovations Private Limited is seeking Mechanical Design interns to join our Bangalore office for a six-month full-time, in-person internship starting immediately. This opportunity involves hands-on involvement in prototyping, CAD design, and mechanical integration working within a team focused on revolutionizing EV charging through patented battery swapping technology.
Role and Responsibilities
- Create and test prototypes using various mechanical components including sheet metal structures.
- Support CAD modeling and assembly tasks using tools like SolidWorks and Fusion 360.
- Assemble mechanical fixtures and enclosures, integrating them with PCB and electronic systems.
- Engage in rapid iterative prototyping and refine mechanical tolerances as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in electrical, industrial, and manufacturing disciplines to integrate designs.
- Validate prototypes jointly with engineering teams and refine designs based on feedback and results.
- Maintain thorough documentation including test results, design issues, and contributions to design reviews and release notes.
Applicant Criteria
- Open to Mechanical Engineering students or recent graduates, ideally those who graduated this year.
- Must be available for full-time on-site internship from July 27, 2026, through August 31, 2026, with a commitment of six months.
- Possess skills and interest in mechanical design and prototyping.
Compensation and Perks
- Monthly stipend of INR 17,500.
- Receive a certificate and letter of recommendation upon completion.

Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency with CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360, AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, including tolerances, GD&T, and manufacturing drawings.
- Basic familiarity with simulation tools like ANSYS or other FEA programs is advantageous.
- Knowledge of 3D printing and rapid prototyping processes.
- Experience with enclosure design, EV battery housings, or integrating mechanical components with electronics is a plus.
