Ibrahim Fibres Limited (IFL) is recognized as Pakistan's largest producer of Polyester Staple Fibre and ranks among the leading textile manufacturers in the country. This opportunity is based in Karachi, inviting experienced professionals to contribute within their Supply Chain team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain comprehensive understanding and application of customs regulations, including adherence to SROs and Import Policy Orders.
- Conduct thorough verification of import documentation such as Letters of Credit, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin, invoices, packing lists, and insurance documents.
- Ensure all documentation meets the highest standards of accuracy for customs clearance and meets regulatory compliance requirements.
- Manage customs clearance procedures related to machinery and project imports.
- Coordinate effectively with customs authorities, shipping companies, port officials, and other relevant government agencies.
- Utilize strong computer skills to manage import documentation and reporting tasks.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Educational attainment of at least 16 years of formal education.
- Between 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar function within import operations or closely related fields.
Essential Skills and Competencies
- Thorough knowledge of customs laws and import protocols.
- Proven expertise in managing and verifying import documents.
- Experience with customs clearance for machinery and complex project imports.
- Strong interpersonal skills for coordinating with various regulatory bodies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and relevant software tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a focus on accuracy.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
