Position Overview
The Assistant Project Manager will be responsible for reviewing project drawings and specifications, estimating project costs, preparing project proposals, and submitting them for approval.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform cost analyses and estimate the expected expenses associated with projects.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), metrics, and dashboards to track project progress and overall company performance.
- Generate charts and visual reports to analyze patterns and convey project performance metrics.
- Prepare presentations that communicate KPIs and key business insights effectively to stakeholders.
- Create and manage budgets based on cost estimates.
- Visit project sites to review progress and engage with current and potential clients.
- Submit bids for projects within the industrial environments served by hth companies.
- Coordinate ordering of materials and equipment, and schedule staff and customer needs to align with project timelines.
- Analyze engineered drawings to ensure accurate project bidding and adherence to quoted specifications.
- Conduct risk assessments, report risks to management, and suggest mitigation strategies, including project termination if necessary.
- Manage inquiries, issues, and complaints throughout the project lifecycle.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Act as a liaison between the company, customers, and vendors to facilitate communication and cooperation.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, contractual, industry, and company regulations and standards.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support project and company objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
- One to two years of relevant professional experience or equivalent educational background is required.
- Project management certifications such as PMP, PgMP, or CAPM are highly preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
- Highly organized with close attention to detail.
- Practical knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Effective time management skills with a track record of meeting deadlines.
- Capable of performing well in a fast-paced and occasionally stressful work environment.
