Assistant Store Manager - Maternity Cover

Position Overview

We are inviting applications for a Deputy Store Manager on a maternity cover basis at Zara's Cardiff location, part of the Inditex Group. This full-time position provides an excellent leadership opportunity in a dynamic retail setting where you will support the General Manager to achieve store goals, manage teams, and uphold superior customer service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in accomplishing sales objectives and monitoring store performance metrics.
• Liaise with Product, Operations, and Customer Experience teams to ensure efficient store workflows.
• Oversee daily store activities including floor management, stockroom logistics, and cash register operations.
• Optimize product distribution, stock replenishment, and inventory control.
• Maintain exemplary store appearance and organizational standards.
• Lead and motivate store staff through clear communication, coaching, and scheduling management, including payroll oversight.
• Support processes related to hiring, performance reviews, and planning for staff succession.
• Foster a positive, diverse, and high-achieving team culture.
• Set performance standards for customer service and collaborate with the CX Manager to enhance shopper experiences.
• Ensure compliance with security measures, cash handling protocols, and loss prevention strategies.
• Enforce health and safety regulations throughout the store environment.
