Job Summary

The Attendance Clerk will be a vital member of the HR team, tasked with accurately managing employee attendance data across departments. This position demands strong analytical abilities, advanced Excel skills, and meticulous attention to detail to ensure precise attendance tracking, reporting, and support in payroll functions.

Key Duties

  • Gather, record, and validate daily attendance information from various departments for completeness and accuracy.
  • Administer and upkeep employee attendance databases and systems.
  • Cross-check attendance details including clock-in/out times, overtime, shift assignments, and leave statuses.
  • Spot inconsistencies in attendance data and liaise with department supervisors for clarification and correction.
  • Generate detailed weekly and monthly attendance reports utilizing Excel for review by management and HR.
  • Ensure attendance documentation aligns with company policy standards.
  • Assist payroll by providing precise attendance and overtime information.
  • Monitor adherence to attendance policies including punctuality and absenteeism.
  • Maintain organized records of attendance documentation.
  • Contribute to enhancing attendance data management processes and reporting workflows.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Statistics, Data Management, or a related discipline.
  • Between one and three years of relevant experience in attendance or data management, or administrative functions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, data analysis techniques, and creating reports.
  • Strong numerical aptitude paired with close attention to detail.
  • Experience managing substantial data volumes with a focus on accuracy.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills across departments.
  • Ability to independently manage routine administrative responsibilities efficiently.
  • High integrity and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
  • Preference for candidates with prior experience in manufacturing or factory settings.
  • Fluent in English, with strong communication skills.
