Role Overview

We are looking for a meticulous and technically adept Azure Data Engineer specializing in Master Data Management (MDM) and ETL processes. The ideal candidate will have about 4 to 5 years of experience in SQL development, Microsoft ETL tools, and Azure Data Factory (ADF). The role focuses on maintaining data integrity and consistency across enterprise systems. Though familiarity with MDM is preferred, the core responsibilities center on SQL development, data integration, and ETL pipeline management.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and maintain ETL workflows utilizing Microsoft ETL tools and Azure Data Factory.
• Create and efficiently optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
• Uphold and update master data in alignment with corporate data governance policies.
• Conduct rigorous data quality assessments and validations to confirm data accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with business and technology teams to troubleshoot and correct data inconsistencies.
• Assist with data migration, cleansing, and enrichment during system upgrades or new implementations.
• Document definitions, procedures, and data standards ensuring uniformity organization-wide.
• Manage master data domains including customer, product, carrier, and financial information ensuring precision and consistency.
• Work closely with governance and technical teams to synchronize MDM operations with business policies and data quality benchmarks.
• Contribute to MDM-specific initiatives such as hierarchy management, survivorship rules, and the creation of golden records.

Required Qualifications

• Approximately 4 to 5 years of solid hands-on experience writing and optimizing SQL queries, procedures, and scripts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft ETL tools alongside Azure Data Factory (ADF).
• Strong grounding in data management philosophies and best practices.
• Basic understanding of MDM concepts and data governance (secondary emphasis).
• Experience or familiarity with CI/CD pipeline methodologies is advantageous.
• Highly attentive to detail with excellent organizational capabilities.
• Capable of working autonomously and collaboratively within dynamic environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective team interaction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline preferred.

Preferred Background

• Hands-on experience with MDM platforms such as Informatica, Reltio, or CluedIn.
• Experience within insurance, financial services, or customer data environments.
• Exposure to cloud data ecosystems including Azure Data Lake, Synapse, and Snowflake.

Additional Job Details

Location: Bangalore, India
Work Schedule: 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM shift
Working Style: Hybrid arrangement with one week of office presence followed by three weeks remote.
Eligibility: Open to any graduates.
