Clinical Data Coordinator

Role Overview

The Clinical Data Coordinator position focuses on supporting clinical data management tasks across assigned projects to ensure accuracy, validity, and compliance with established protocols, sponsor guidelines, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. The role is critical in aiding the department and organization in meeting strategic goals.

Project Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing essential data management documentation for different phases of clinical trials, including start-up, maintenance, and closeout.
• Support basic testing of databases and edit checks.
• Conduct data review and generate queries as necessary.
• Perform data entry tasks when required and make corrections to databases to rectify errors.
• Help generate SAS requests and perform review of output reports.
• Assist with data transfers and review corresponding transfer outputs.
• Contribute to finalizing and transferring clinical databases and related project documentation to sponsors.
• Maintain approved study documentation securely within trial master files.

Departmental Contributions

• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives for Data Management and broader organizational processes through information sharing, training, and educational activities.
• Advocate for Data Management practices both inside and outside the organization.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• A post-secondary certification of one to two years in a relevant discipline or one to three years of pertinent work experience combined with ongoing training.
• Strong self-motivation and effective communication abilities.
• Keen attention to detail and an understanding of the value of collaborative teamwork to achieve successful outcomes.
• A disposition toward continuous learning and personal growth.
• Ability to consistently encourage and support teamwork among colleagues.
