Role Overview
As a Clinical Support Worker, you will be an essential member of a multidisciplinary team, assisting registered nurses by performing patient care responsibilities. This role often involves working independently to uphold hygiene, safety, and order within the ward setting. The specific duties may vary depending on the ward type and patient needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage in continuous personal development aligned with individual and service needs.
- Participate in career growth planning including relevant training and education to enhance skills.
- Understand and adhere to all applicable National and Local policies, legislation, and procedures.
- Follow NHS Lanarkshire’s policies including Health and Safety, Security, Fire protocols, and Cardiac Arrest procedures to maintain confidentiality, safety, and resource efficiency.
Candidate Profile
- Holds or is working towards SVQ III in healthcare or possesses equivalent experience in care environments.
- Capable of working collaboratively within multidisciplinary or agency teams.
- Exhibits strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Effectively performs assigned patient care tasks, even in demanding conditions.
