Role Overview

As a Concierge Porter at the JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa, you will be directly supporting the Chief Concierge by ensuring guests receive outstanding welcome and departure experiences in a dynamic, fast-paced setting. This role is critical in making a lasting positive impression on guests by responding promptly and attentively to their needs throughout their stay.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively listen and respond to guest inquiries, concerns, and requests with positivity to resolve issues and build trust.
• Address guest service requirements promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction.
• Anticipate guest needs by engaging in conversations and observing preferences to enhance their experience.
• Support team members to maintain adequate coverage and efficient guest services.
• Interact with guests about their stay, property amenities, and local attractions, utilizing social media where applicable.
• Provide assistance to guests with disabilities by following established guidelines to ensure comfort and accessibility.
• Express genuine gratitude and warmly bid farewell to guests upon departure.
• Greet each guest with a smile, eye contact, and personalized verbal acknowledgment.
• Stay informed about local points of interest to offer accurate and appealing recommendations.
• Effectively communicate suggestions to encourage guest engagement with the property and surrounding area.
• Provide guests with directions and information about hotel services, operating hours, and local activities.
• Manage luggage storage procedures, including tagging, storing, retrieving luggage, and issuing proper claim tickets.

Candidate Profile

• Warm, friendly, and welcoming personality.
• Possession of a valid Queensland driver’s license.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Availability to work weekends and night shifts as required.
• Passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering top-tier service and lifestyle standards.
• Detail-oriented with strong observational capabilities.
• Team player with a cooperative attitude.
• RSA certification is mandatory.
