Construction Manager - Roads & Infrastructure

Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive Construction Manager specialized in Roads & Infrastructure to lead on-site operations, guiding all technical aspects and ensuring comprehensive delivery of road construction projects from inception to completion. This role involves directing daily field activities and managing diverse teams with a focus on quality, safety, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the entire lifecycle of road and infrastructure construction projects.
• Maintain compliance with technical specifications, enforce quality control, and uphold site health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
• Supervise site engineers, subcontractors, and collaborate closely with consultants and local authorities.
• Oversee critical construction activities including earthworks, preparation of subgrade and subbase layers, paving operations, asphalt application, and the installation of drainage and utility systems.
• Monitor project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project, manage site budgets efficiently, and address technical challenges swiftly.

Qualifications and Experience

• Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a similar discipline.
• Possess between 10 to 15 years of experience in road construction projects, including at least 5 years in a Construction Manager or Site Manager position.

Technical Expertise

• Expert knowledge in asphalt mix testing, soil compaction techniques, and general road construction processes.
• Skilled in utilizing project scheduling platforms and site management software.
