Role overview

This position involves overseeing head contract and subcontract administration across construction projects. You will partner with project and site teams to make sure agreements are handled correctly, variations are monitored, and budgets stay aligned with the build.

Key duties

  • Draft, check, and manage head contract and subcontract documentation.
  • Handle progress claims, contract variations, requests for information, extension-of-time matters, and payment schedules.
  • Monitor project budgets and forecasts to keep financial performance under control.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers as part of day-to-day delivery.
  • Assist the Project Manager with reporting and weekly meetings that support project progress.
  • Follow company policies, procedures, and work health and safety requirements.

Requirements

You should bring at least 3 years of experience as a Contracts Administrator within commercial construction, ideally on new-build commercial projects valued up to $10M. A strong grasp of procurement, contract administration, and cost control is important, along with excellent communication, negotiation, and organisation skills. Hands-on experience with construction software such as Jobpac is required, and you must be able to work independently as well as within a team. Local Australian experience is mandatory.
