Role Overview

Pace® Analytical Services is hiring a Courier in Albany, NY to handle the secure and timely movement of environmental samples, documents, and other materials that support laboratory work. This role is important for protecting sample integrity and helping ensure the accuracy of data used to support community and environmental safety.

Schedule

The shift runs Monday through Friday from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM.

Compensation

This position pays $18.00 per hour. Final pay may vary based on geographic location, relevant experience, education, skills, internal pay equity, market conditions, budget considerations, and organizational compensation guidelines.

Key Duties

• Collect, move, and deliver samples, documents, and related materials as required.
• Get the assigned vehicle ready for daily use, including required documentation, safety inspections, and simple maintenance checks.
• Assist staff and supervisors with sample-transport processes and related support tasks.
• Help maintain a professional, cooperative, and customer-oriented workplace that reflects Pace® values.

What the Role Requires

• A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
• Prior experience in a similar position is helpful but not mandatory.
• A valid driver’s license and the ability to keep any required licenses and certifications current.
• Working knowledge of safe driving practices, customer service, and sample transport procedures.
• Willingness to learn and follow company policies, procedures, and transportation rules.
• Comfort using basic computer tools and keeping records accurate.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with internal teams and outside customers.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Professional judgment, discretion, and a responsible approach to workplace interactions.
