Customer Delivery Driver - Cumbernauld Extra

Role Overview

As a Customer Delivery Driver for Tesco, you will represent the company while delivering groceries directly to customers' homes. This job involves much more than just driving; it is a hands-on, physically active role filled with variety where no two working days are exactly the same. You will spend much of your time working independently on the road, supported by a team at the store base when needed.

Work Schedule

• Sunday: 1:00 PM to 11:00 PM
• Friday: 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM
• Saturday: 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your delivery van, trays, and work area to ensure all orders arrive in excellent condition.
• Load the van safely and conduct necessary checks to ensure it is roadworthy and reliable for deliveries.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding any changes to their orders, such as substitutions or short-dated products, and process refunds when appropriate to assure a positive experience.
• Handle orders carefully, treating each with respect to maintain customer trust and product quality.
• Deliver orders within scheduled time slots, providing a warm and friendly customer interaction at the doorstep.

Candidate Requirements

• Build strong team relationships to foster a collaborative working environment and deliver excellent customer service.
• Demonstrate a warm and welcoming attitude toward both customers and colleagues.
• Adapt quickly to changing customer needs and be flexible to changes while working on the road and in the store.
• Possess a valid full UK, EU, or EEA driving license (manual or automatic) held for at least 12 months with no more than three penalty points.
