Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Analyst to join our operations division, primarily responsible for evidence curation within mortgage workflows. This role combines mortgage operations knowledge with in-depth data analytics. You will work mainly on analyzing large data sets, creating MIS reports, monitoring process execution, and translating findings into actionable business requirements. While mortgage or financial services experience is beneficial, strong analytics skills and willingness to learn the domain are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, verify, and organize evidence across mortgage workflows to meet completeness and accuracy standards
• Develop and maintain Management Information System (MIS) reports tracking operational efficiency, throughput, and quality
• Create and run queries on extensive production data for operational insights, exception analysis, and decision support
• Perform business process audits and convert results into clear, executable business requirements
• Utilize and manage document databases like MongoDB through tools such as Studio 3T
• Advise on data modeling and structural improvements to support platform scalability
• Identify and resolve process and data quality issues by proposing and implementing solutions

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in data analytics involving large data volumes, including MIS reporting and complex querying
• Skilled in conducting business process reviews and drafting business requirements that drive operational improvements
• Preferably familiar with mortgage operations or broader financial services such as banking or lending
• Comfortable working with data structures and databases beyond spreadsheets
• Self-motivated with the ability to independently manage workloads and deliver results efficiently
• Methodical and accurate when handling repetitive, high-volume tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MongoDB and Studio 3T or other NoSQL database ecosystems
• Knowledge of SQL and business intelligence tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Business Objects
• Exposure to areas such as investor reporting, loss mitigation, foreclosure, claims processing, or regulatory compliance with government-sponsored enterprises
• Track record of building impactful reports and models that influence operational teams

Compensation and Hiring Process

The position offers a base salary of $90,000 per year. The hiring process includes an introductory discussion, a practical exercise that reflects the job duties, and a final interview with the prospective team.
