Data Engineer / Data Scientist

Role overview

This position is for a versatile data professional based in Hyderabad who can work across data engineering and data science tasks. The role centers on handling large datasets, creating automated data pipelines, and turning data into practical business insights using Python and modern business intelligence tools. Experience with the Workday/HCM environment is a preferred advantage, especially for people analytics use cases.

What you will do

• Work with large-scale data to process, organize, and analyze information using big data technologies.
• Develop and run advanced algorithms in Python to address business challenges.
• Build engaging dashboards and reports in Tableau or Power BI for stakeholder communication.
• Automate repetitive data tasks and workflows using Python and Excel.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to gather data needs and deliver technical solutions.

Technical background needed

• Strong hands-on Python experience, including data science libraries, along with advanced Excel skills.
• Practical knowledge of Tableau or Power BI for data visualization.
• Exposure to big data tools and related frameworks.
• Preferred understanding of Workday and the HCM data module.

Candidate profile

• Good communication skills with the ability to explain technical findings in clear business terms.
• A problem-solving approach with attention to data quality and automation.
• Comfort working in a collaborative, team-based environment.

Additional details

Experience required: 3 to 5 years.

Notice period: Immediate joiners are preferred.

Eligible qualifications: B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering or Information Technology.
