Data Infrastructure Supervisor

Role Overview

The Data Infrastructure Supervisor will lead a focused team consisting of data engineers, analysts, and external consultants tasked with managing a comprehensive data infrastructure leveraging Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. This role is pivotal in enabling machine learning and AI initiatives, maintaining high data quality standards, and delivering meaningful insights that influence strategic decision-making across various subsidiaries.

Primary Responsibilities

• Delegate daily workloads and track project progress effectively.
• Offer strategic guidance and support for ongoing initiatives and projects.
• Conduct evaluations to promote employee performance and skill enhancement.
• Oversee the development and maintenance of ETL/ELT pipelines and manage data ingestion into Microsoft Fabric.
• Ensure strong data governance, security, and accuracy throughout processes.
• Optimize system performance and manage workspace environments.
• Administer Power BI workspaces, including access controls.
• Facilitate creation and refinement of reports and dashboards for decision support.
• Assist subsidiaries in adopting analytics best practices and processes.
• Coordinate deployment of machine learning models and integrate predictive analytics within dashboards and operational workflows.
• Support the use of Copilot and generative AI tools to enhance data-driven insights.
• Act as a liaison between internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor resource consumption and associated costs to facilitate chargebacks.
• Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving resource efficiency and optimization.

Required Knowledge and Experience

• Between 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric or Power BI implementations.
• Certification in Microsoft Fabric or Power BI is mandatory for this role.
• Proven experience in leading small teams or coordinating efforts with consultants.
• Basic familiarity with AI and machine learning applications within data environments.

Education and Certifications

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required, although Microsoft Fabric or Power BI certifications carry higher importance.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in managing data pipelines and enforcing data governance policies.
• Experience with both on-premise and cloud-based database administration.
• Proficiency in developing reports and dashboards using Power BI.
• Ability to support integration of AI and generative AI technologies into analytics frameworks.
