Desktop Support Engineer - Field Role

About the Role

Zambient Info Systems Pvt Ltd is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to join their team supporting the Liquor Counter product in Hyderabad, specifically at Gachibowli. This full-time position involves both fieldwork and office duties. Successful candidates will receive training on Liquor Counter software at the office and benefit from a monthly salary plus petrol allowance starting from the first day.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit customer stores regularly for computer and system installations.
• Install and configure Windows OS, MS Office suite, printers, scanners, and other essential software and hardware devices.
• Set up desktops, laptops, tablets, mobiles, or other equipment as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve common issues with computers, printers, scanners, internet connections, and other devices.
• Complete training on Liquor Counter setup and support, and assist customers with basic usage post-installation.
• Collaborate closely with the office support team to ensure timely resolution of issues.

Candidate Requirements

• Possess basic computer knowledge; familiarity with Windows installation and MS Office setup is preferred.
• Ability to install and configure printers and scanners.
• Must have a personal bike with a valid driving license to commute to customer locations daily.
• Proficient in Telugu communication.
• Willingness and comfort with daily travel to various client sites within Hyderabad.
• Knowledge of Linux is a plus but not mandatory.
• Experience in desktop support, hardware troubleshooting, system formatting, IT support, or retail store support is advantageous.

Additional Information

• Location: Gachibowli, Hyderabad with daily travel to customer locations.
• Probation period of 3 months applies.
• Short screening questionnaire will be administered prior to interview.
