About the Role
This position sits at the intersection of AI infrastructure and developer tools, with a focus on accelerating adoption across APAC. The company is creating a platform that lets engineering teams launch secure cloud sandboxes for AI agents, coding workflows, continuous integration and deployment, and reinforcement learning environments. Its customers include fast-growing AI startups as well as major technology and enterprise organisations.
The role is based in Singapore and is suitable for candidates who are already there or are open to relocating.
What the Role Involves
As a Developer Relations Engineer, you will help developers understand, try, and build on the platform throughout the APAC region. This is a highly technical DevRel position rather than one focused only on community building or content. You should be comfortable coding, validating product behaviour, creating integrations, explaining complex ideas in a clear way, and representing the company at developer-facing events.
You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, partnerships, and go-to-market teams. Your work may range from producing technical documentation or demo integrations to presenting at meetups and conferences in cities such as Singapore, Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, or Sydney.
Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day work will combine technical execution, developer education, and market-facing representation. The role is designed for someone who likes to stay hands-on, stay visible, and stay close to developer needs.
Work Focus
- Create demos, sample projects, and integrations that clearly demonstrate the platform’s capabilities.
- Draft documentation, how-to guides, product explainers, and technical blog content.
- Represent the company at conferences, meetups, customer sessions, and developer events across APAC.
- Use APIs, SDKs, CLI tools, and sandbox environments directly and confidently.
- Evaluate new product features and share practical feedback with the engineering team.
- Show developers how the platform supports AI agents, CI/CD workflows, and coding environments in the cloud.
- Support launches, integrations, and partner discussions by giving technical context to go-to-market teams.
- Convert questions from customers and developers into helpful content, examples, and product suggestions.
- Build trust with technical audiences by being genuinely helpful and technically credible.
What You Should Bring
Success in this role requires strong technical ability, strong communication, and the confidence to work directly with external developers and internal teams.
Requirements
- Solid programming ability and the confidence to build practical technical examples.
- Background in developer relations, solutions engineering, developer advocacy, field engineering, or another hands-on technical role with external users.
- Comfort with APIs, SDKs, CLI tooling, and developer infrastructure.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Confidence presenting to groups, recording demos, and explaining technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to work effectively with engineering, product, partnerships, and commercial stakeholders.
- Genuine interest in AI coding tools, agentic workflows, cloud infrastructure, and developer tooling.
- Strong self-management in a distributed, remote-first environment.
- Good judgement about what developers need in order to understand, build, and adopt a product.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Go, Python, TypeScript, or comparable programming languages.
- Familiarity with Docker, containers, sandboxing, Kubernetes, or cloud-native systems.
- Experience creating demos for developer tools or infrastructure products.
- Exposure to open source, technical writing, or developer community engagement.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants such as Claude Code, Cursor, OpenCode, or similar tools.
- Experience supporting developer events or communities across APAC.
- Previous work in an early-stage or growth-stage developer tools business.
What’s In It For You
- A practical DevRel role in a fast-moving area of AI infrastructure.
- Ownership across demos, integrations, content, events, and developer adoption.
- The opportunity to work with technical users building AI agents, coding tools, and reinforcement learning environments.
- A visible role in shaping the company’s APAC presence from Singapore.
- Close collaboration with engineering, product, partnerships, and go-to-market teams.
- Competitive compensation aligned with Singapore market expectations.
- The chance to join a high-growth infrastructure company at an early regional stage.
Application Note
Candidates who enjoy building, explaining, and working directly with developers are encouraged to reach out with their CV or to connect confidentially for more information.
Location and Working Style
This is a remote-first role with a Singapore base. Applicants should already be in Singapore or be willing to relocate there.
