Role Overview

The Director of Cloud Platform will oversee all facets of the technical cloud delivery team in Australia. This role demands strong leadership capabilities, deep technical expertise in cloud and platform engineering, and the ability to foster trusted relationships with multiple stakeholders including internal and client leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead senior delivery for sizable cross-functional teams building tailor-made cloud platforms for clients.
• Address client technical challenges by leveraging consulting and cloud expertise.
• Provide strategic engagement leadership to ensure excellent customer results.
• Mentor and coach both individual contributors and leadership, while cultivating talent from within.
• Support sales initiatives focused on modern engineering projects.
• Conduct technical and behavioral interviews to recruit future team members.
• Serve as a capability leader by organizing events and contributing to market-facing strategies.
• Promote a learning culture by participating in technical conferences, community involvement, blogging, and workshops.
• Continuously advance personal and team skills in alignment with evolving industry trends, especially in AI engineering and delivery tools.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven success developing and deploying scalable public cloud solutions using advanced AI engineering and DevSecOps methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience throughout product development lifecycles across various cloud platforms.
• Knowledgeable in mature program management practices and a variety of Agile and waterfall methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, XP, Lean).
• Strong people management skills enabling effective leadership of large teams, talent development, and maintaining an inclusive culture.
• Ability to integrate leadership, client management, and business acumen to steer large-scale projects and programs.
