About Peabody and Centurion Mine

Role Overview
The ERZ Controller position at Centurion mine involves overseeing underground coal mining operations with a strong emphasis on safety, compliance, and production efficiency. Multiple positions are available in areas such as Outbye, Development, and Longwall.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct statutory and compliance inspections according to applicable legislation and site-specific safety management systems.
- Ensure safety in the operation of production processes and mining equipment by site teams.
- Manage maintenance scheduling in line with statutory and site regulations.
- Facilitate communication sessions within crews and shifts to support operational coordination.
- Meet and strive to exceed agreed production targets while maintaining safe practices.
Work Schedule and Benefits
This permanent role follows a 7 days on/7 days off day/night roster, offering both FIFO (Fly-In Fly-Out) and DIDO (Drive-In Drive-Out) working arrangements. Flights from Brisbane to Moranbah are included, alongside relocation assistance for suitable candidates.

Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Demonstrated strong focus on workplace safety and risk management.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within teams.
- Possession of either a 3rd Class Manager's Certificate of Competency or a Deputy's Certificate of Competency.
- Proficiency in supervisory responsibilities.
- Experience and certification with S1, S2, S3 levels, including risk management and incident investigation.
- Committed to maintaining high performance and safety standards.
Candidates must exhibit a solid grasp of hazard identification and risk mitigation, a flexible approach, and a robust work ethic.
