About the Role

Multiworks is seeking an Estimator to support its growth across civil construction projects. This position is central to preparing accurate and competitive tender pricing, with a strong focus on detailed cost analysis and bid submission quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates from first principles, covering labour, plant, materials, and productivity outputs.
• Create Bills of Quantities, pricing schedules, and estimate summaries that align with tender requirements.
• Examine drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, and other project documents to shape pricing and methodology.
• Prepare and manage estimates in Expert Estimation, or a comparable platform, including direct costs, preliminaries, indirect costs, and margin.
• Identify risks and opportunities such as scope omissions, design inconsistencies, site access issues, staging concerns, and constructability challenges.
• Draft assumptions, exclusions, and commercial qualifications for tender submissions.
• Coordinate subcontractor and supplier RFQs, checking scope alignment, pricing consistency, and any gaps in submissions.
• Work with Project Managers, Engineers, and Delivery Teams to confirm methodology, programme, and construction approach.
• Support tender strategy, value engineering, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Preserve estimate accuracy, version control, and traceability throughout the tender process.

About You

We are looking for someone with proven civil construction estimating experience, strong commercial judgement, and the ability to turn technical information into practical construction pricing. The ideal candidate is organised, detail-focused, and comfortable working with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
