Facilities Maintenance Assistant

Company Overview

Tropical Battery Company Limited is in search of a diligent and safety-minded Facilities Maintenance Assistant to aid in the maintenance and care of the company's premises, grounds, vehicle fleet, and adjacent areas. The appointed individual will be instrumental in keeping the facilities clean, safe, operational, and well-maintained with a professional standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Uphold the cleanliness and upkeep of lawns, gardens, external grounds, and other outdoor spaces.
• Conduct cleaning tasks including pressure washing of parking lots, pathways, and structures.
• Execute basic handyman duties such as minor plumbing repairs, painting jobs, carpentry work, and replacing lighting fixtures.
• Clean company vehicles regularly and maintain the tools and equipment used for maintenance tasks.
• Ensure drains and gutters remain free from blockage and promptly report any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
• Support general facility maintenance activities, prepare facilities for hurricanes, and undertake other duties as assigned.

Candidate Qualifications

• Completion of secondary education or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience in facility maintenance, groundskeeping, landscaping, construction, janitorial work, or related fields is favorable.
• Possess fundamental handyman abilities including basic plumbing, carpentry, painting, and routine maintenance.
• Competent in the safe operation of maintenance tools and machinery.
• Physically robust to perform manual labor under various weather conditions.
• Dependable, conscientious about safety, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
