Overview
We are seeking a skilled Facility Manager to oversee the daily management of both reactive and planned maintenance at Waikeria Prison in Waikato, New Zealand. This pivotal role involves administering a National and Public Private Partnership contract, directing subcontractors and internal trades teams, and ensuring the delivery of services aligns with contractual agreements and high performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead facilities services operations ensuring compliance with the Project Agreement.
- Manage subcontractors and internal teams effectively to meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and standards.
- Contribute to financial and operational reporting for management and stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- At least 5 years’ experience in trade, property, or facilities management, with no less than 3 years specifically in facilities or property management roles.
- Demonstrated success in managing subcontractors and internal teams.
- Strong financial skills, including experience in reporting and analyzing KPIs.
- Excellent communication and ability to engage with stakeholders effectively.
- Proficient in MS Word, advanced Excel, SharePoint, and Power BI.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is desirable.
- Good knowledge of HSSEQ systems, risk management, and New Zealand health and safety legislation.
- A proactive, solution-oriented leader capable of thriving in a dynamic, hands-on management role.
