About the Role
JENNMAR Services seeks experienced Hot Shot Drivers to operate medium-duty trucks with specialized trailers, delivering equipment, less-than-truckload freight, and materials to various company and client locations in Washington County. This full-time position offers a competitive wage alongside a comprehensive benefits package.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate medium-duty trucks and specialized trailers for hauling diverse freight and equipment.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Adhere strictly to company standards and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations during all driving and operational activities.
- Secure loads accurately to prevent damage or freight breakage following DOT and company guidelines.
- Maintain effective communication with dispatch and Trucking Manager as necessary.
- Supervise loading and unloading procedures to minimize risk of damage.
- Report any required truck maintenance or repairs to Trucking Manager or mechanics promptly.
- Keep detailed driving and delivery logs compliant with DOT rules.
Candidate Requirements
- Possession of a valid/current DOT physical or ability to obtain one (company provided).
- Minimum of two years driving experience in similar roles.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Capability to pass pre-employment drug screening, background checks, and MVR reviews.
- Valid driver’s license is mandatory; possessing a CDL Class A license is advantageous.
