About the Role
We are excited to invite applications for the position of Hotel Manager at the prestigious 5-star Powerscourt Hotel Resort & Spa located in Enniskerry, County Wicklow, Ireland. This role is an outstanding chance for an accomplished hospitality leader to join a highly effective team at a renowned property known for exceptional guest service and commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily hotel operations, supporting the General Manager and deputising in their absence to ensure seamless management across departments.
- Maintain a strong commercial orientation by driving revenue growth, enhancing profitability, and identifying new business prospects.
- Lead and develop department heads and senior managers, promoting accountability, collaboration, and ongoing development.
- Manage financial performance through cost control, budgeting, KPIs, and actively pursue opportunities to improve sales and margins.
- Work closely with departments such as Front of House, Food & Beverage, Accommodation, and Banqueting to elevate guest experiences.
- Collaborate on HR functions including recruitment, staff training, appraisals, and engagement to cultivate a motivated, high-achieving workforce.
- Ensure compliance with Marriott International brand standards by leading operational audits and maintaining guest service excellence and property presentation.
- Partner with Sales & Marketing teams to maximize revenue, promote offerings, and grow market share across key segments, including weddings and events.
- Support sustainability and environmental initiatives aligned with company goals.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated strong leadership and organizational aptitude with extensive senior-level hotel management experience.
- Proven financial expertise managing budgets, forecasts, and profit & loss statements.
- Excellent communication abilities combined with a guest-centric approach.
- Experienced in motivating and leading high-performing teams.
- Proactive problem solver focused on continuous improvement.
