Position Summary

The role calls for a highly creative and organized Interior Designer with over seven years of experience in commercial interior design. The successful candidate will oversee projects from initial ideas to final delivery, focusing especially on corporate interiors, experience centers, lobbies, branded environments, and workplace spaces that effectively express client brands, cultures, and objectives. Experience in the exhibit and event sectors is desirable due to the multifaceted nature of projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from conceptualization through completion for corporate interiors and experiential spaces.
• Craft innovative design solutions aligned with customer goals, brand guidelines, budgets, and functional needs.
• Engage in creative brainstorming and client discovery discussions.
• Create high-quality renderings, floor plans, elevations, material boards, and client presentation materials.
• Choose appropriate finishes, furnishings, materials, and architectural features for commercial interiors.
• Work collaboratively with estimating, project management, CAD, and fabrication teams to ensure practical, buildable, and budget-conscious designs.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, vendors, fabricators, and consultants during project development.
• Prepare detailed estimating and control drawings including dimensions, materials, and construction details.
• Maintain design integrity throughout fabrication and installation phases.
• Attend project meetings and keep the Creative Director regularly informed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years professional experience with a strong portfolio showcasing corporate, workplace, environmental, or experiential interior design projects.
• Bachelor's degree in interior design or architecture.
• Preferred experience in exhibits, tradeshows, museums, or live events.
• Solid grasp of space planning, environmental graphics, materials, finishes, and commercial construction practices.
• Ability to integrate creativity with functionality, budgeting, and build requirements.
• Expertise in construction documentation and detailing.
• Experience liaising with architects and engineering teams.
• Excellent skills in communication, presentations, and client interactions.
• Strong organizational abilities for managing multiple concurrent projects in a dynamic setting.
• Analytical thinker with problem-solving aptitude.
• Proficiency in software including SketchUp, Revit, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Additional experience with visualization tools such as Enscape, Twinmotion, or Lumion is advantageous.
• Capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.

Bonus Qualifications

• Knowledge of FF&E specification and procurement processes.
• NCIDQ certification or active pursuit thereof.
