Job Overview
Abitocorp, a progressive and innovative organisation, is looking for a dedicated IT Support Specialist to join their team remotely, supporting their office in Louisville, Kentucky. This full-time position serves as the primary point of contact for technical support, ensuring smooth operation and stability of IT systems crucial to daily business functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver first and second-tier technical support to both on-site and remote staff, addressing incidents and service requests promptly.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to hardware, software, operating systems, and network connectivity.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, peripherals, and company-authorized software.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls within Active Directory and other critical systems.
- Record all support activities, solutions implemented, and procedures in the IT service management platform.
- Assist in IT asset management including tracking inventory and supporting equipment purchases.
- Help create IT documentation, knowledge base entries, and user educational materials.
- Escalate unresolved technical matters to senior IT staff or external vendors as needed.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience in IT support or helpdesk roles.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Desirable:
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional.
- Understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Familiarity with IT Service Management frameworks like ITIL.
- Experience supporting Apple macOS devices in business settings.
