Position Overview

Join our team as a Janitor to help maintain the clean, safe, and inviting atmosphere that defines Farm Boy stores. Your attention to detail, pride in your work, and customer-first attitude will support both patrons and team members by ensuring all shared spaces are immaculate and welcoming.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide warm, approachable customer service aligning with Farm Boy’s standards for a fresh shopping environment.
• Greet and assist customers as needed, ensuring a positive experience in-store.
• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, and dusting to maintain tidy, safe work and storage areas.
• Keep shared facilities such as dining areas, washrooms, and locker rooms clean and well-maintained.
• Support inventory management and assist with ordering store supplies upon request.
• Adhere strictly to company policies, with an emphasis on health, food safety, and correct equipment usage.
• Execute opening and closing tasks and provide assistance to other team members when necessary.
• Take on additional duties periodically to help overall store operations run smoothly.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong enthusiasm for delivering engaging and high-quality customer service.
• Previous experience in janitorial or cleaning roles within food retail is advantageous.
• Ability to work autonomously while maintaining exceptional cleanliness and attention to detail.
• Team player with effective communication and organizational abilities.
• Capability to thrive in a high-energy environment involving physical tasks such as prolonged standing, heavy lifting, repetitive motions, and exposure to noise, dirt, and cooler conditions.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency in English required; knowledge of French is a plus.
