Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and updating category plans aligned with trading goals and priorities.
• Drive data-led decision-making by examining performance versus plans, spotting trends, risks, and growth opportunities to inform business choices.
• Monitor sales across various products, categories, and channels; support decisions regarding promotions and markdowns to improve trading outcomes.
• Support stock management activities such as intake, allocation, and replenishment to maintain product availability at necessary points.
• Analyze essential KPIs including sell-through rates and stock cover to deliver actionable performance insights.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to facilitate effective planning and solve challenges swiftly.
• Contribute to major trading events by supporting analysis, planning, and monitoring performance.
• Maintain precise and updated merchandising data, supporting post-season reviews and reporting accuracy.

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience in merchandising roles such as Junior Merchandiser or advanced Assistant Merchandiser, with skills in planning, forecasting, trading, and inventory management.
• Strong commercial and analytical aptitude to interpret trading data and provide impactful insight-driven recommendations.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functionalities, including Pivot Tables and Lookups, to effectively analyze and manipulate data.
• Inherent commercial curiosity with the desire to question, explore underlying drivers of performance, and seek opportunities or risks beyond the basic data.
• Capacity to solve problems using good judgement when faced with complexity or incomplete information to achieve optimal commercial results.
• Excellent communication skills to clearly convey insights and foster productive relationships with cross-functional teams including Buyers.
• Committed to ownership and accountability, continuously seeking ways to improve procedures and maintain high deliverable standards.
• Meticulous attention to detail ensuring reliable and accurate reporting, forecasting, and planning data supporting business decisions.
