Lead Python Developer

Role overview

This position focuses on building and refining data models to meet complex database needs while aligning with business goals and application requirements. The role also involves structuring metadata so it can be effectively used across teams.

Core responsibilities

• Create or update data models that address advanced database requirements for both business and application use cases, while organizing metadata for team-wide access.
• Lead, plan and coordinate the creation of modern data model solutions and metadata management practices.
• Deliver application-level data modeling support to project development teams.
• Help establish and maintain organization-wide data standards.
• Take part in enterprise logical data modeling efforts and lead work for assigned data subject areas.
• Support the rollout of metadata management tools.
• Run both formal and informal discussions to help shape database design decisions.
• Contribute to the deployment and ongoing management of the global metadata repository.
• Locate metadata sources, strengthen metadata management capabilities, monitor metadata quality, and define shared data terminology.
• Coordinate testing and documentation for the global metadata repository and conduct user interviews to collect metadata requirements and ensure business needs are covered.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Experience requirements

Candidates should have strong database systems knowledge, at least 5 years of overall IT experience, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in data administration.
