Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Learning & Development Manager to join our People Team based in Surry Hills, NSW. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, this role leads the creation and execution of the bank’s learning and development strategy. You will foster capability building, leadership enhancement, and nurture a culture of continuous learning across the company. This position offers a unique chance to establish a modern learning framework from scratch and drive innovative programs that cultivate our workforce and leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and roll out a comprehensive Learning & Development strategy aligned with business goals.
• Strengthen the L&D function by establishing frameworks, governance structures, and learning processes.
• Design and implement enterprise-wide capability models supporting all organizational units.
• Create leadership development programs tailored to emerging, established, and senior leaders.
• Build and manage a formal mentoring program to foster employee professional growth.
• Lead engaging learning interventions including workshops, digital courses, and blended formats.
• Collaborate with business leaders to identify skills gaps and anticipate future talent needs.
• Enhance onboarding and induction experiences to improve new hire integration and effectiveness.
• Evaluate and report on the impact and ROI of learning initiatives.

Candidate Profile

• Extensive experience in a senior Learning & Development or Organizational Development capacity.
• Proven history of designing and executing L&D strategies and programs at the enterprise level.
• Strong capabilities in learning design, facilitation, and delivery.
• Expertise in developing leadership initiatives and capability frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and work collaboratively across all levels.
• A balance of strategic vision and practical execution skills.
• A deep passion for leadership growth, learning innovation, and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the financial services sector or other regulated industries.
• Background in implementing mentoring or coaching initiatives.
• Familiarity with modern learning methods and technologies.
