Job Overview

Educational and Experience Requirements

• Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Library Science, Information Science, or library and information studies from Saudi universities or those recognized by the Ministry of Education, with official equivalency certification if obtained abroad.
• A minimum cumulative GPA of good or above is mandatory.
• All university qualifications must have been pursued through full-time study.
• Applicants are required to have at least two years of relevant professional experience in the field.
• Passing an academic test and personal interview is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maximize utilization of the Saudi Digital Library databases.
• Propose amendments to library management guides, including library policies and usage manuals.
• Collaborate with academic departments to identify and procure required references, books, journals, bulletins, and other learning resources.
• Manage and continuously update library systems such as cataloging and related software.
• Archive various educational media including audio, visual, printed materials, and multimedia, organizing them within the library.
• Prepare monthly bulletins outlining new and current references, distributing these throughout the college.
• Ensure availability of adequate equipment to protect library contents.
• Organize both internal and external loan procedures.
• Work with academic departments to monitor new developments in references and knowledge sources for library inclusion.
• Conduct workshops for faculty and students introducing library resources and usage techniques.
• Collect feedback from students and faculty about library service quality.
• Suggest library activities that may be transitioned to electronic formats.

Additional Conditions

• The bachelor's degree must have been earned through full-time attendance.
• Degree equivalency from the Ministry of Education is required for non-Saudi university graduates.
