Role Overview
We seek a proactive Logistics Manager to take full ownership of stock accuracy, supplier and 3PL partnerships, and the complete lifecycle of distribution. This position serves as a crucial link connecting production, wholesale, ecommerce, and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate combines strong systems proficiency, particularly in NetSuite, with a commercial mindset focused on cost-efficiency and process improvements across warehousing and distribution.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive stock control ensuring data consistency across all platforms and physical inventories.
- Supervise daily activities of 3PL warehouse partners, ensuring adherence to SLAs and performance targets.
- Oversee stock and supplier engagements with 3PLs, swiftly addressing discrepancies and fostering ongoing enhancements.
- Lead stock reconciliation efforts, including cycle counts and audits.
- Coordinate demand forecasts with 3PLs and handle annual stocktaking and reconciliations.
- Serve as the primary business lead for NetSuite, expertly managing inventory, purchase orders, and stock reporting functions.
- Administer parallel management of Zedonk and NetSuite during system migration periods, maintaining transparent tracking of goods movement, especially for ecommerce launches and restocks.
- Ensure data accuracy across systems and quickly resolve issues when they arise.
- Discover and implement enhancements to system processes and reporting capabilities.
- Manage HTS product classification and related NetSuite updates.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to anticipate commercial plans and assess forecast risks or modifications.
- Conduct frequent reviews of warehousing and distribution expenses to identify spending patterns and cost-saving opportunities.
- Initiate efficiency projects aimed at lowering unit costs in storage, pick/pack, outbound and inbound freight operations.
- Compare 3PL and carrier charges to market standards and lead contract renegotiations where applicable.
- Communicate insights and strategic recommendations to senior management to support informed commercial decisions.
- Serve as the main contact for trade and compliance-related questions.
- Ensure all import/export operations comply with current customs, duties, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain and update compliance documentation and methods to mitigate risks.
- Coordinate with customs brokers and authorities as required.
- Manage relationships with carriers and freight forwarders, negotiating terms and service levels.
- Coordinate closely with production on inbound shipments from third-party suppliers.
- Monitor carrier performance and promptly address service challenges.
- Regularly assess the carrier and forwarder network to secure optimal partnerships.
- Provide accurate forecasting updates to carriers to assist in capacity planning.
