Team overview
The Warner Records Nashville marketing team is a driven and energetic group focused on building awareness and audience connection for artists and their releases. The team serves as the coordination point for campaigns, aligning work across label departments, artist management, and outside partners.
Role summary
As Manager, Marketing, you will report to the VP of Marketing and act as a key strategic partner. A major part of the role involves overseeing release planning, handling administrative and logistical support for the VP’s artist roster, and independently managing a small roster of developing artists. The position calls for someone highly organized, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-moving music business environment, with a strong understanding of digital platforms, streaming, and modern artist development in Country music.
Key responsibilities
- Own release coordination work, including operational setup, metadata planning, and scheduling for singles, EPs, and albums, while keeping production timelines and supply chain checkpoints on track.
- Provide day-to-day administrative and logistical support to the VP of Marketing, including milestone tracking, meeting coordination, presentation preparation, and campaign organization.
- Design and lead marketing plans for a selected group of developing artists, shaping their brand direction, release strategy, and early fan-growth efforts.
- Build strong working relationships with artists and management teams, serving as the main label contact and helping align expectations with business goals.
- Monitor budgets, track marketing spend, and ensure financial activity stays within company guidelines, while also managing budgets for your own roster.
- Work closely with internal partners across A&R, streaming, radio, publicity, creative, and digital marketing to keep campaigns aligned and moving smoothly.
- Collect and organize performance data, including consumption figures, streaming movement, and social engagement metrics, to support decision-making and campaign review.
Requirements
- At least 3 to 5 years of growing experience in marketing or project management, preferably gained at a record label, artist management firm, or entertainment agency.
- Experience in the Nashville music scene is strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage detailed schedules, logistics, release timelines, and metadata-related work with strong organization.
- Working knowledge of major streaming services, short-form video platforms, and current music marketing tools.
- Hands-on experience with budget management or financial administration.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to adapt quickly in a busy environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, plus the interpersonal judgment needed to support leadership and guide artists.
- Genuine enthusiasm for discovering and developing new Country artists and lifestyle-oriented talent.
