Microsoft Data & AI Security Consultant

Role Overview

As a Microsoft Data & AI Security Consultant, you will support clients in designing, implementing, and managing data, security, and compliance strategies based on Microsoft Purview and modern AI workloads.

Using your expertise, you help organizations safely utilize data throughout the digital transformation journey, covering classification, data leakage prevention, and governance to ensure successful security projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise and deploy Microsoft Purview solutions focused on Data Security, Compliance, and AI Governance from initial design to live production.
• Implement core Purview functionalities such as data classification, sensitivity labeling, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), data lifecycle management, insider risk management, and audit and eDiscovery workflows.
• Conduct workshops, assessments, and training sessions with clients to gather and prioritize security and compliance requirements and use cases.
• Support securing AI workloads including tools like Copilot and generative AI by applying Purview DSPM and DSSM features.
• Collaborate closely with security, compliance, and IT departments to apply regulatory requirements and best practices effectively.
• Contribute actively to architectural decisions, governance strategies, and enhancement of internal frameworks for data and AI security.

Candidate Profile

• Several years of experience with Microsoft Purview or similar data governance and security solutions.
• Strong knowledge of data and information protection controls, especially in DLP, information protection, insider risk management, and eDiscovery and compliance processes.
• Hands-on experience with the Microsoft 365 and Azure ecosystems, including Azure security controls and cloud governance concepts.
• Proficiency in analyzing requirements from business units, compliance, and IT and translating them into actionable technical solutions.
• Fluent communication skills in German and English.
• Preferred relevant certifications such as SC-401, AZ-500, or DP-203.
