Network & Infrastructure Engineer

Role Overview

We seek a proficient Network & Infrastructure Engineer to oversee and sustain the network framework of our headquarters and retail locations. The position demands ensuring steadfast LAN/WAN connectivity, encrypted VPN links, and the management of surveillance plus physical access controls with an emphasis on high network uptime, security, and operational productivity.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN systems across the HQ and all store venues.
• Oversee routing, switching, VLAN configurations, firewall rules, and optimize network performance for optimal uptime.
• Deploy and support both site-to-site and remote VPN connections between the main office and stores.
• Continuously monitor and address network connectivity issues, ensuring secure and encrypted data transmission.
• Install and manage IP-based CCTV cameras, network video recorders (NVR), and remote surveillance tools.
• Administer physical access control hardware, including door controllers, defining access groups and user privileges.
• Use network monitoring software to track network health and infrastructure effectiveness.
• Keep detailed network records, including diagrams, IP address allocations, and device configurations.
• Collaborate with IT support, security teams, facility management, and third-party contractors to implement infrastructure projects and support daily operations.
• Ensure adherence to IT security protocols and industry-standard infrastructure practices.

Candidate Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• At least three years of proven network engineering experience in a multi-site organizational setting.
• Mandatory CCNA certification.
• Expertise in routing, switching, VLANs, TCP/IP protocols, and firewall management.
• Practical experience with VPN technologies, including IPSec and SSL VPN implementations.
• Familiarity with IP surveillance systems such as Hikvision, Dahua, or Axis, including NVR system management.
• Knowledge of physical access control platforms like HID Global, Suprema, or similar solutions.
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools such as PRTG or Zabbix.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and analytical problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to operate across distributed teams and locations.
• Ability and willingness to travel to various company sites as necessary.
