About the Role

The Patient Dispatch Controller plays a crucial role in coordinating and managing the transportation of patients between hospitals, healthcare facilities, and homes. The incumbent ensures patient transfers are scheduled timely, efficiently, and safely while maintaining close communication with all involved parties. This position serves as the key coordination hub connecting healthcare providers, transport teams, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage patient transport requests by assigning suitable vehicles and staff members
• Plan and dispatch crews prioritizing urgency, resource availability, and scheduling needs
• Serve as primary liaison for hospitals, clinics, and healthcare professionals regarding patient transfers
• Oversee active operations, promptly addressing delays, incidents, or scheduling adjustments
• Ensure all patient movements adhere to safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Maintain detailed transport logs and accurate patient transfer documentation
• Collaborate with clinical personnel to guarantee appropriate care during transfers
• Contribute to ongoing enhancement of dispatch and transport workflows
• Comply fully with health, safety, and organizational policies

Candidate Requirements

• At least two years of experience in dispatch coordination, logistics, or healthcare operations
• Strong organizational aptitude and sound decision-making capabilities
• Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Capability to perform effectively in fast-paced and high-pressure environments
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and dispatch or CRM platforms
• Meticulous attention to detail and aptitude for handling multiple tasks simultaneously
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize duties
• Full driving license is an asset though not mandatory
