Overview
This internship offers an opportunity to engage with the dynamic world of investment holding, focusing on M&A activities and portfolio development. Ideal for individuals eager to leverage an entrepreneurial mindset, refine analytical capabilities, and deepen practical knowledge in Private Equity and M&A transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the team through the entire M&A process from sourcing to deal closure.
- Continuously evaluate investment prospects through interactions with advisors, banks, and firms.
- Conduct market and competitor research within designated sectors.
- Perform thorough financial and strategic evaluations of potential acquisition targets, including valuation modeling such as business plans, LBO, DCF, and multiples.
- Analyze operational and financial results of portfolio companies to discover future value enhancement strategies.
- Support portfolio oversight and aid in preparing materials for internal committees, including crafting presentations and analyses.
Candidate Profile
- A keen interest in business models, market dynamics, and competition.
- Currently pursuing advanced studies in economics-related disciplines such as business administration, economics, or industrial engineering.
- Previous relevant experience, preferably internships in M&A, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital, Strategy Consulting, or Transaction Advisory.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with some familiarity with valuation techniques (DCF, LBO, multiples) being an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Fluent in both English and German languages.
