Role Overview

We are searching for an experienced Procurement Manager to take charge of strategic sourcing operations, cultivate supplier partnerships, and generate commercial benefits organization-wide. This prominent position includes engagement with senior leaders and offers the chance to influence procurement strategies within a dynamic and expanding business environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute procurement and category strategies that align with overall business goals.
• Manage complex sourcing projects, conduct tender processes, evaluate suppliers, and lead contract negotiations.
• Oversee and negotiate significant contracts to ensure value and mitigate risks.
• Promote cost reduction, supplier rationalization, and enhance process efficiencies.
• Develop and nurture strategic alliances with suppliers to foster cooperation and continuous enhancement.
• Implement supplier performance monitoring systems including key performance indicators, governance assessments, and improvement plans.
• Direct procurement and commercial aspects of Modern Service Agreements and other critical service contracts.
• Contribute to developing innovative service delivery approaches and outcome-focused commercial agreements.
• Collaborate closely with operations, technical experts, finance, and leadership to understand business needs and tailor sourcing solutions accordingly.
• Identify supply chain risks and establish mitigation plans.
• Ensure procurement activities meet internal governance, legal regulations, and best practice standards.
• Support ongoing procurement transformation, encompassing process enhancements, policy creation, system improvements, and supplier streamlining.
• Prepare regular reports on procurement achievements, cost savings, contract adherence, and supplier management progress.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Proven record as a Procurement Manager, Senior Category Manager, Strategic Sourcing Manager, or in a related procurement leadership role.
• Successful history implementing procurement strategies, managing sourcing projects, and delivering cost savings.
• Skilled in negotiating and handling complex service contracts and commercial deals.
• Experience managing Modern Service Agreements, outsourced services, or contracts based on performance metrics.
• Deep knowledge of supplier relationship management and performance evaluation frameworks.
• Highly effective stakeholder management and influence across all organizational tiers.
• Strong commercial insight, negotiation expertise, and analytical skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in complex environments with multiple stakeholders.
• MCIPS accreditation or working towards it is advantageous.
• Experience leading procurement in soft services is desirable.
• Background in sectors such as facilities management, manufacturing, engineering, technology, infrastructure, defence, or energy is preferred.
• Understanding of procurement transformation efforts, operating model redesign, or change initiatives is an asset.
• Familiarity with outcome-based contracting and strategic supplier partnership concepts is beneficial.
