Key Duties

• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-zoned produce department at all times, ready for customers.
• Regularly assess product quality by rotating stock and removing any expired items to maintain freshness.
• Confirm accurate pricing and signage in adherence to correct procedures for ordering, markdowns, clearance, labels, and signage.
• Comply with food safety and cold chain protocols, including temperature monitoring, thermometer use, proper handling, and observing sell-by and expiration dates.
• Stock and remove merchandise as necessary, apply product protection when needed, and arrange modular displays to keep the area fully supplied.
• Observe all health and safety policies to uphold a clean and safe work environment.
• Demonstrate flexibility by working a variety of shifts such as evenings, weekends, and holidays in line with business demands to help ensure consistent service.

Challenges to Anticipate

• Efficiently manage high workloads in a fast-paced atmosphere, often during overnight hours, requiring good energy and focus maintenance.
• Execute physical responsibilities including standing for long periods, bending, and lifting inventory or equipment up to 20 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Compensation

The starting wage for this position is $18.70 per hour.
