Program Manager, Community Moderation

About the Role

Join Amazon's Community Moderation team in Berlin, where we influence the experiences of hundreds of millions of customers as they explore and trust products worldwide. Our mission is to build and maintain customer confidence across Amazon's social and community features, including Customer Reviews, Questions & Answers, and Profiles. Handling billions of interactions, we strive to balance openness with trust and ensure the integrity of user-generated content at an immense scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary liaison between the Moderation Technology and Science teams and Operations regarding system improvements.
• Collaborate with content communities to develop and revise guidelines aligned with new projects and quality standards.
• Analyze forecasts, investigate anomalies, and effectively communicate findings to relevant stakeholders.
• Gather and prioritize business cases with Communities to enhance manual and automated moderation processes.
• Coordinate with the Product Manager to set priorities for initiatives and feature requests.
• Monitor moderation performance metrics and conduct root cause analyses using data platforms like QuickSights, Hubble, and Heartbeat.

In this role, you will foster partnerships within Amazon and external customers to streamline workflows and improve outcomes. This involves ensuring customer-generated content complies with policies and implementing operational protocols that uphold trust through clear policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and VLookUps, and SQL experience.
• Background in program or project management.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience leading process improvements grounded in data analytics.
• Skilled in defining program requirements and measuring improvements through metrics.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven success in managing end-to-end project delivery and reporting outcomes to senior leaders.
• Expertise in driving process enhancements and stakeholder management at multiple organizational levels.
• Competency in building processes, project timelines, and managing schedules.
